- Coin Facts: The New York quarter, the 11th in the 50 States Quarter Series, features the Statue of Liberty, an outline of the state, and the inscription "Gateway to freedom". The Hudson River and the route of the Erie Canal were also added. With 76% of the vote, New Yorkers selected the Statue of Liberty design to be featured on their commerative state quarter.
