Grateful Dead Bean Deadie Bears Series 10 |
|
Grateful Dead Series 10 Deadie Bears were introduced on March 2003.
|
Grateful Dead Patriot Bean Bear
- Born 6/12/76 Boston Music Hall, Boston MA
- Tour Memory: "What a blessing it was being a kid in New England in 1976…Bicentennial hoopla everywhere. I remember myself and a few buddies hopped the T into town to catch our favorite band in a performance for the ages. They played 'Music Never Stopped' early first set, and the words rang true. The encore was 'U.S Blues' sandwiched in the middle of 'Sugar Magnolia', a musical backdrop to a scene as American as it gets." |

Grateful Dead Mane Man Bean Bear
- Born 4/11/78 Fox Theatre Atlanta GA
- Tour Memory: "It’s easy for me to reflect on my Dead show, because it was my first concert without parental supervision. I had Skull and Roses, and had heard great things, but still I was a real rookie. When they opened with Bertha, I became one with the people around me. This incredible groove lasted all night. The only problem was that it spoiled me. I thought all rock concerts were like that. Wrong!" |

Grateful Dead Lamb Chops Bean Bear
- Born 4/8/85 Philadelphia Spectrum
- Tour Memory: "Steam rises out of my head when I recall this show. It’s the beefiest concert I’ve ever seen… pure testosterone. Everything was up-tempo, especially tasty covers of Midnight Hour and Walking the Dog, and Jerry lettin’it all hang out for Might as Well. Brent’s organ solo was absolutely blazing for Around and Around. To me, this is the period when they rocked out the most…unabashed savagery." |

$24.99 |

|
Grateful Dead Funky Chicken Bean Bear
- Born 7/15/88 Greek Theatre Berkeley CA
- Tour Memory: "I’m one of those people who feels the need to convert the uninformed, a.k.a non-deadheads. One of my work cronies dismissed the Dead as 'mellow hippy music'. I dragged him down to the Greek to prove him wrong. From the first explosive thud of Shakedown, to the last thundering chorus of Lovelight, the conversion was a success. We still talk about Jerry’s manic guitar lead during Morning Dew." |

Grateful Dead Ruby Bean Bear
- Born 7/13/9 Franklin County Field Highgate VT
- Tour Memory: "One of the best parts about being on tour is the tour itself, the experience. Lack of a concrete itinerary is part of the charm. The Highgate show reaffirmed my faith in humanity. Some kind local souls took us in, giving us food and a place to crash. It’s funny, I can’t remember a single tune they did that night, but I’ll never forget the friends we made in the green mountains of Vermont." |
